Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY 

Oversee the maintenance of production equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensure minimum equipment downtime. Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs and procedures. Manage training programs to ensure proper operation, preventive maintenance, and repair programs and procedures.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE 

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Perform non-routine corrective maintenance and in depth troubleshooting on area equipment.
  •  Debug failed setups and repair any malfunctioning equipment.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and update equipment databases.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of the test equipment in order  to recommend improvements.
  • Confer with engineers, technicians, production personnel and others regarding testing results and to resolve problems.· 
  • Work closely with counterparts in the equipment, production, and process groups to ensure that work is scheduled and prioritized to best support production while ensuring the quality of our product.  
  • Maintain tool performance and improve tool availability while meeting uptime and cycle time requirements.
  • Provide a strong technical resource for tool and maintenance system improvement projects.  
  •  Update maintenance and calibration procedures as needed.
  •  Work with IT staff to support the RF test customer networks.
  •  Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE 

Education: Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or Electronic Systems Technology or equivalent experience and training required.

 

Experience: Minimum 5 years in semiconductor equipment repair and maintenance experience

 

Knowledge/Skills:

·  Ability to troubleshoot system problems to board level required, component level preferred. 
·   Ability to analyze equipment schematics for advanced troubleshooting of complex problems.
·    Experience on one, or more of the following tools preferred:

o   Automated Test Equipment such as Teredyne, Advantest, etc.

o   Automated or semi-automated probing equipment such as  EG/Cascade / Accretech / TEL

o   Individual power supplies, signal generators and individual RF measurement equipment.

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing.  
  •  Knowledge and experience in base level IT systems and server support.  
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability and desire to learn and support additional toolsets.  
  •  Ability to work any shift-compressed work week schedule to ensure adequate coverage as needed. 
  • Define problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions and drive corrective actions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
